The Resilience Room

You may be the capable one. The one who leads the meeting, holds the family together, remembers what everyone needs, keeps the work moving, and gets through the hard days.

From the outside, you look like you are coping.
But underneath it, your body may be telling a different story.

For the woman who holds it all together — until her body cannot anymore.

A different way of listening

Your body may be asking for something you have not been given the tools for yet.

Your body may be asking for something you have not been given the tools for yet.

You may be getting through the day, caring for people, making decisions, holding responsibilities, and doing what needs to be done.

But your body may be carrying the cost.

This may sound familiar
You may be…

Holding your breath through meetings, decisions, and difficult conversations.

Waking tired and still unable to switch off at night.

Looking fine from the outside and feeling nothing like yourself underneath.

Carrying tension, pain, exhaustion, gut symptoms, headaches, hormone shifts, or a racing heart.

Feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs before your own.

Snapping, shutting down, crying, or freezing over things that do not usually feel this big.

Knowing something needs to change — but not knowing where to begin.

Checking your wearable and seeing low recovery, high stress, or HRV trends — without knowing what your body needs next.

You are not doing it wrong.

Your body has been doing its best to protect you — but it may be time to give it a different set of tools.

The anxiety, tension, exhaustion, shutdown, poor sleep, people-pleasing, body symptoms, and overwhelm are not signs that you are broken.

They may be signs that your nervous system has been working hard to protect you for too long.

A different way to build resilience

Resilience is not pushing through.

It is not how much you can tolerate before you break.

Real resilience is physiological flexibility: your body’s ability to move through stress and then return towards safety, recovery, and connection.

Stress will still happen. Work, relationships, illness, grief, hormones, and life events will still ask a lot of you.

The difference is that your nervous system no longer has to stay stuck in high alert, shutdown, or survival mode afterwards.

Resilience is not about becoming unshakeable. It is about learning how to reset, recover, and return to yourself.

That is built over time, through small repeated practices that help your body recognise: I can meet this — and I can come back from it.

It all comes down to building capacity.

Stress will still happen. The difference is that your body learns how to move through it rather than staying stuck there.

YOUR 12-WEEK JOURNEY

A clear pathway — without another overwhelming to-do list.

The Resilience Room is deliberately paced because nervous-system change takes time.

You will begin by understanding your patterns and creating safety. Then you will build tools for recovery, energy, emotions, movement, and capacity. Finally, you will bring the work into your relationships, boundaries, connection, and everyday life.

Build safety, awareness, and practical tools for working with stress in the moment.

Support sleep, energy, emotions, body awareness, movement, capacity, and recovery after stress.

WHAT MAY FEEL DIFFERENT

A different relationship with stress.

The goal is not a stress-free life. It is having more awareness, more options, and more capacity when life gets hard.

You notice stress earlier in your body.

You recover with more intention after a hard day or week.

You protect your energy and boundaries with more self-trust.

You return to rest, joy, and connection more easily.

You know what may help in the moment.

You understand when your body needs rest, release, support, or appropriate movement.

You feel more connected to your body, emotions, and needs.

You feel less hijacked by stress and more able to respond with choice.

You leave The Resilience Room with a personal toolkit you can practise in real life — and the
understanding to know what your body needs, when it needs it.

Women who have done this work say

“I was in a very deep state of overwhelm. I had brain fog, fatigue, chronic pain and gut issues. Emma was the missing puzzle piece that connected everything together.”

– SELINA

“I was experiencing anxiety and felt like my body had been hijacked. I had been living in survival mode. I came away with so many tools, skills and information that I can draw on through any life situation.”

– COURTNEY

“My self-care was zero. I was giving a lot to everybody else and really not receiving anything back. The biggest change was learning I could make time for myself and having strategies to cope with the ups and downs of life.”

– LISA

Meet Emma

“You do not need another person telling you to just push through.”

I’m Emma Ferris — a physiotherapist and nervous-system coach with more than 20 years of experience helping women understand the connection between stress, breath, body symptoms, emotions, health, and everyday life.

My work brings together clinical experience, nervous-system education, polyvagal-informed practice, breathwork, somatic tools, movement, self-compassion, and practical strategies that work in real life.

I have also lived the chapters that make this work more than theory: building businesses, raising children, severe pregnancy sickness, divorce, grief, burnout, and the seasons that taught me to stop overriding my body and start listening.

The Resilience Room is built from both: the science of how the nervous system works, and the human reality of what it feels like when life asks a lot of you.

The Resilience Room is organised into three phases: Reset, Recover, and Build Resilience.

Weeks 1–4: Reset

You will learn to create more safety, understand your stress response, map your red, blue, and yellow states, and begin using practical tools for breath, body, movement, sensory regulation, and everyday stress.

Weeks 5–8: Recover

You will explore sleep, energy, capacity, HRV, movement, emotions, self-compassion, body signals, the gut-brain connection, and recovery after difficult days or weeks.

Weeks 9–12: Build Resilience

You will bring the work into your relationships and real life: co-regulation, belonging, boundaries, play, pleasure, appropriate challenge, and your personal Reset → Recover → Resilience Plan.

Each week is designed to build on the previous one, so you are not asked to process more than your body is ready for.

Regulate & Rewire is an 8-week self-paced programme. It gives you deeper education and practical tools around nervous-system regulation, polyvagal theory, breathing patterns, body awareness, stress, and recovery.

The Resilience Room is the live 12-week coaching experience.

The difference is not simply more content. It is the live support, pacing, group connection, shared accountability, personalised reflection, and opportunity to practise the tools in real life alongside Emma and other women.

Regulate & Rewire gives you a resource library to work through at your own pace.

The Resilience Room helps you embody the work, understand what applies to your body, and build the practices into your real life.

Regulate & Rewire is currently not part of The Resilience Room.

You are welcome here.

You do not need prior knowledge of polyvagal theory, HRV, breathwork, somatics, or nervous-system regulation.

The programme begins with the foundations: understanding safety, stress, the body’s protective responses, and your own red, blue, and yellow states.

You will be guided through the tools in clear, practical language. You are not expected to arrive knowing what to do — that is why the room exists.

Yes. Every session is recorded and uploaded to the programme’s course area in ThriveCart within 48 hours. You’ll get access as soon as you sign up, so you can catch up on anything you miss or watch it again later. It’s worth joining live when you can, though. That’s where you can ask questions and get coaching on what’s actually going on for you.

Many women arrive having already tried therapy, meditation, breathing apps, supplements, exercise plans, sleep hygiene, books, and “pushing through.”

The Resilience Room does not assume those things were wrong.

Often, the missing piece is understanding what state your nervous system is in, what your body needs first, and how to use tools in an order your system can actually absorb.

This is not about adding more things to your to-do list. It is about building awareness, using practical tools in real time, and learning what helps your body reset, recover, and build capacity.

Every live session is recorded and posted in the private women-only community within 24 hours.

You will not lose the week if work, family, illness, travel, parenting, time zones, or life make it hard to attend live.

The live calls offer an opportunity for coaching, shared reflection, and connection, but watching the recording is a fully supported way to participate.

The core commitment is one 60-minute live coaching call each week.

Between sessions, you will be invited to use small, realistic practices that can fit into real life — often a few minutes at a time, rather than another demanding routine.

You can use the guided audios, workbook tools, community, and Regulate & Rewire self-paced programme in a way that suits your capacity.

This is not designed to compete with your life. It is designed to support it.

No. A wearable is completely optional.

If you use Oura, Garmin, Apple Watch, Whoop, Fitbit, or another tracker, the HRV and Wearables bonus will help you understand what your data may be showing you in the context of your real life.

But HRV is never the only measure of progress.

We will also look at subjective signs of recovery and resilience, including sleep, energy, mood, body tension, pain, focus, capacity, connection, and how quickly you recover after stress.

Your wearable is a source of information — not a scorecard for your worth.

Yes. The Resilience Room can sit alongside therapy, medical care, physiotherapy, counselling, coaching, or other appropriate support.

This programme focuses on nervous-system education, body-based regulation, practical recovery tools, self-awareness, and capacity building.

It does not replace clinical, psychological, or medical care. If you are working with another practitioner, you are welcome to use the learning here as a complementary layer of support.

No. The Resilience Room is not therapy, medical treatment, diagnosis, or a replacement for your GP, specialist, psychologist, or other clinical care.

It is nervous-system coaching and education, delivered within Emma’s scope as a physiotherapist and nervous-system coach.

The programme is grounded in research-informed practices around breathing retraining, nervous-system regulation, movement, recovery, stress physiology, and heart-rate variability (HRV). Women may notice positive changes in areas such as sleep, energy, mood, stress tolerance, body tension, recovery, and their ability to respond to difficult moments.

However, every woman’s body, history, health, and starting point is different. The Resilience Room does not promise to treat, cure, diagnose, or guarantee outcomes for any medical or mental-health condition.

Think of it as moving upstream.

Rather than waiting until your body is completely depleted and needing to respond only when things have reached crisis point, this work helps you build awareness, practical tools, recovery habits, and physiological resilience over time.

The goal is not to replace medical care. It is to help you understand and support the nervous system that sits underneath so much of how you feel, function, recover, and respond to stress.

If you are in acute crisis, need diagnosis, or require urgent individual mental-health support, please seek appropriate one-to-one professional care.

Because The Resilience Room is a live, small-group coaching programme with limited places and a committed cohort experience, there are no refunds once the programme begins.

Life can be unpredictable. Work, family, health, travel, grief, and other unexpected circumstances may affect how you are able to show up during the 12 weeks. The programme is designed with that reality in mind.

Every live session is recorded and shared in the private community within 24 hours, and you will have lifetime access to the guided audios, tools, worksheets, and self-paced resources. You can engage with the live coaching, recordings, and resources in the way that best supports your capacity at the time.

The value of the programme will look different for every woman, depending on her starting point, participation, practice, and the life circumstances she is navigating. A change of mind or change in personal circumstances after the programme has started is not a reason for a refund.

The group is intentionally capped at 25 women so the space can remain connected, supportive, and held. Please read the programme details carefully and reach out before enrolling if you have questions about whether this is the right fit for you.

That is completely okay.

The Resilience Room is for women who are ready to understand their nervous system, practise small tools over time, and build a more supportive relationship with their body.

It is not for women seeking a quick fix, a guaranteed outcome, a rigid protocol, or a replacement for medical or therapeutic care.

If you are unsure, send Emma a message before enrolling. A short conversation can help you decide whether this is the right space and timing for you.

You do not need to wait until things get worse.

You are not here to become better at carrying more. You are here to build the capacity to carry life differently.

You are not here to become better at carrying more. You are here to build the capacity to carry life differently.
